The Zuri hoop earrings are all about celebration. The celebration of our freedom, our people, and most importantly the celebration of life.

The first hoops date back to 2500 BCE originating in Nubia, an African civilization located in what we now call Sudan. In 1500 B.C.E Egyptian men and women flaunted gorgeous hoops on their ears. They believed earrings enhanced a person's beauty and were made using twisted gold wire and beads. Royal Egyptians wore heavy and thick gold hoops to symbolize their wealth and power.

Fast forward to today, hoops are empowering. They symbolize strength and as a result of their circular shape represent unity, infinity, and wholeness.

I named these earrings Zuri which means beautiful and I believe as a people we are beautiful and have such strength and tenacity and we should celebrate that. The uniqueness and parring of the colors in these earrings make them unique (like you) ;-), fun, and celebratory.

No two pairs are alike; if you see one you like, be sure to snag them before someone else does.
